We can only learn to love by loving.

Love is so powerful because being loved causes one to love oneself. Nothing contributes to the self-image more than being loved by another. When the words, “I love you” are expressed to you for the first time, your world blossoms, your heart glows with inspiration, confidence and thoughts of the mountains you can move. It’s more than an emotional kick; suddenly you like yourself more than you ever have before. True love doesn’t have a happy ending: True love doesn’t have an ending.

It is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the doing. It is not how much we give, but how much love we put in the giving. If you would be loved, love and be lovable. Love cures people – both the ones who give it and the ones who receive it. Truly loving another means letting go of all expectations. It means full acceptance, even celebration of another’s personhood. If you judge people, you have no time to love them. To love another person is to see the face of God. Love is but the discovery of ourselves in others, and the delight in the recognition!

When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace. To love a person is to learn the song that is in their heart, and to sing it to them when they have forgotten because for every love there is a heart somewhere to receive it.

Love is the beauty of the soul. Within your heart, keep one still, secret spot where dreams may go. The more clearly you understand yourself and your emotions, the more you become a lover of what is. You know you are in love when you see the world in his/her eyes, and his/her eyes everywhere in the world. To love and win is the best thing. To love and lose, the next best…Love consists in this that two solitudes protect and touch and greet each other.

Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength; loving someone deeply gives you courage and you can’t force someone to love you; all you can do is become someone who can be loved; the rest is up to them. When men and women are able to respect and accept their differences then love has a chance to blossom. The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched they must be felt with the heart. If you have love in your life it can make up for a great many things you lack. If you don’t have it, no matter what else there is, it’s not enough.
